Our director, lead coach and consultant is Dr Melanie Pope, FHEA, SFHEA, PFHEA, RLA.
Melanie’s career has focused for over 30 years on helping people to be the best they can be, in her work as a teacher, trainer, mentor and coach. She has a wide range of experience working in several universities in the UK, including as Associate Professor, and in a number of leadership roles.
Coaching is the tool that best sums up her career passion, enabling an individual or team to move from where you are now, to where you want to be, the way you want to get there. She has spent much of her working life enabling those like herself from non-traditional background in higher education to access education and opportunities. It is her core belief that everyone is entitled to opportunities to thrive and be an equal part of society that drives her work coaching and consulting in higher education. These beliefs are the driving force behind her coaching work with leaders and aspiring leaders from minority groups. She has a PhD, a Certificate in Coaching from the University of Cambridge, and is a member of the International Coaching Federation.
Melanie also offers consulting services to higher education, focused on academic staff development, curriculum design and delivery (quality assurance and quality enhancement) and personal tutoring. She works globally with universities, businesses and individuals. Melanie is located in the UK and can work face-to-face or online.
